Getting Around
As the capital city and China’s 
transportation hub, Beijing is well served by airports with both 
            international and domestic flights and railways reaching out
 to every part of the country. Within the city, public 
            transportation is efficient and economical, with a network 
of subway lines, buses and streetcars. Taxis are prolific 
            and generally inexpensive. For a taste of life at street 
level, nothing beats getting around by bicycle, walking or 
            rickshaws. To experience Beijing’s scenic rivers, waterways 
and lakes, there are a multitude of boat tours and cruises.
