China determined for merger of train makers

China is reportedly moving forward ambitiously regarding the merger of its two leading train makers, with media reports of a plan that would be creating a massive group for exporting the high-speed railway technology.State media have earlier stated that the merger of state-owned China CNR Corp. and CSR Corp. would be helping to prevent the ongoing cut throat competition between these two entities.The merger would be placing the combined entity in a much stronger position to tackle rivals Germany's Siemens and Canada’ Bombardier while seeking overseas business.
